| Objectives and role |
The Embassy of El Salvador in Washington, D.C., has a Cultural Section in charge of providing information on cultural, artistic, and social matters. This Section represents the Embassy at different events carried out within the United States, such as fairs, festivals, exhibits, parades and conferences. It gives presentations in education centers, churches, and community centers and at different cultural events. It offers information and replies to requests from students, teachers, libraries, and persons or institutions interested in El Salvador. It participates as a member of the Iberoamerican Association of Cultural Attaches in Washington, D.C., carrying out cultural activities in conjunction. It is also part of the Central American commission for the celebration of the Central American Independence.
